New Yachts in 2014 for First Class Sailing

First Class Sailing has some exciting news for 2014 – new boats!

We’ve been lucky enough to be able to order two Jeanneau 379 yachts, which will be arriving in January and will be put to work as new teaching platforms for our customers.

This video should whet your appetite…

More Room for Learning

Our new Jeanneau 379 boats are a lot more roomy inside than our current boats, with more space in the saloon, cockpit and cabins. This extra size provides an even better space for teaching sailing courses than our current boats provide.

The yachts are closer in size to the kind of boats you’ll be able to charter after you’ve completed your training at First Class Sailing, so you’ll feel even more at home on a chartered yacht. There’s also onboard heating to keep the interior nice and cozy for longer sailing trips.

Navigation and Steering is twice as good

The new boats feature two wheels (instead of the one which our current boats have). This means everyone can get a clear view of the radar and chart plotter – not just the person steering the boat! The chartplotter itself is also linked up to the Automatic Identification System, allowing us to detect other boats and avoid collisions easily.

We’re really excited about the new boats and looking forward to giving you the chance to take part in the naming ceremony and first voyage. We’ll be providing more information on how to enter in due course.
