New Beneteau Yachts for First Class Sailing

There’s an exciting announcement from First Class Sailing at the start of 2019 – we are looking forward to welcoming our new Beneteau 38.1 yachts, Palomar and Sazerac in February.
These lovely yachts are due to arrive in this country mid-January. They will undergo a process of commissioning and inspection by a coding surveyor at Ancasta before sailing on the Solent with a Competent Crew and Day Skipper course on 16/17 & 23/24/25 February.
These new Beneteau 38.1’s are fractionally bigger in length than the Jeanneau 379’s we had. However they carry their chine almost all the way to the bow, consequently, there is a noticeable amount of extra space both below and in the cockpit.
The boats have two wheels, Raymarine Axiom Chart Plotter, Raymarine Quantum Radar, AIS and heating. They have an arch over the companionway and will have sprayhoods. Below are 8 berths in 3 cabins, a shower/heads, plus a good sized galley and saloon area.
They are great to sail and will make a good, stable teaching platform for our sailing school.
About the Beneteau Oceanis 38.1
As a teaching platform, the Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 model is perfect. Firstly it has been chosen for its cruising comfort. It features two helm stations, a mainsail arch, and a spacious cockpit.
Plus, as it’s good and taut to aft and low on the water, the rigidity under sail takes it further and faster with exceptional stability. With three cabins, berths for eight and a toilet/shower, it offers stylish comfort in its well optimised interior space.

Why Did We Pick Ancasta?
Ancasta is the largest Beneteau Power and Sail dealer in the UK and the largest boat sales network in Europe.
As Will Blair, Ancasta’s Group Marketing Director, says: “This is a great endorsement for Ancasta as First Class Sailing is drawing on two decades of professional experience. Choosing to use our comprehensive services underpins the credibility of both the service we deliver and the products we work with and bears testament to the fact that these beautiful boats made by Beneteau are unmatched in terms of design, quality and performance.”
For our principal Charlie Tulloch it is important to provide the best ‘classrooms’ possible: “Our fleet works very hard. We add new boats every five years to make sure our customers are getting the best experience and training on the latest yachts available.”
“We are delighted we chose Ancasta to broker the deal because of the excellent service they provide. Ancasta makes the process as straightforward as possible and has worked with us from the outset to make sure we’re getting the best boats for our very specific needs – great to cruise, straightforward to sail, comfortable to stay on while being robust enough to endure years of training crews and still look great.”
