The latest update from Challenger 2 as her FCS crew sails her to the Canaries via the Bay of Biscay. As you will read contact has been sporadic due to weak signals.
Tuesday Morning (Oct 31st)
We have had a really great night sailing, lots of wind, big rolly seas stars and a big moon, the sun rise this morning over Portugal did not disappoint, many pictures were taken.
Due to our speed in the last couple of days our ETA is slightly earlier than originally thought, probably early morning tomorrow. Iona is still awaiting baby news from her sister (was due the day we left) but unfortunately very little phone signal has been available
Tuesday Afternoon – Challenger 2 and crew have arrived in Cascais!

We had a very good crossing, a lot of motoring but not yet used the first diesel tank. It’s hot, sunny and the crew are in very high spirits looking forward to having lunch before the big clean / showers and some dinner ashore.
We may well only be able to stay here 2 nights but plans are not yet confirmed
