Excellent in every way

Everything about the trip was great. Peter, the skipper, was excellent in every way, not just for his outstanding ability at sailing but also in making sure that everyone was happy and looked after. Unlike most other sailing school trips I have done, we mainly ate onboard and the food was excellent.

The Scilly Isles is one of the UK’s most closely guarded secret places – some will tell you that it is as beautiful as many distant places they have been – the others keep quiet in the hope that they can keep it all to themselves. It’s no wonder holidays to the Scilly Isles are growing in popularity.

But why settle for a run of the mill holiday to the Scilly Isles when instead you could join us by sailing to the Scilly Isles on a 8-day trip. With around 150 islands and only 5 inhabited, the wildlife makes exploring this enchanting archipelago set on the edge of the gulf stream a real delight, particularly when doing so by boat!

The mild gulf stream climate, pristine white sandy beaches, flower covered cliffs, crystal clear blue seas, little picturesque pockets of human habitation and unpolluted night skies make for a magical sailing holiday.

Sailing to the Scilly Isles means you can take in natural beauty and breath-taking views. Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Explore and fulfil your sense of adventure. Evoke connections to the past due to the rich maritime history you can encounter when sailing to the Scilly Isles. Take part in water activities. And above all, relax. There’s just so much to consider and appreciate on our sailing holidays to the Isles of Scilly… speak to us today!

Your Isles of Scilly sailing holiday isn’t just about being on the water. Once there you can also explore on foot. There are beautiful coastal walks to be had; afternoon tea spots, pubs, and restaurants to be sampled; beaches to be combed, unspoilt anchorages to relax in; the famous Tresco Abbey subtropical gardens to meander around; and lots more.

Taking a sailing holiday to the Isles of Scilly means you get to see some of the UK's rarest wildlife, including Atlantic grey seals, Manx shearwaters, and basking sharks. You will more than likely see dolphins and porpoises at some point on your Scilly Isles sailing holiday. Birdwatching is also very popular on the Isles of Scilly, especially during the migration seasons when numerous species stopover or pass through the islands. Rare and migratory birds can often be spotted, making it a prime destination for birdwatchers.

The five inhabited islands: Bryher, St Agnes, Tresco, St Martin's and Hugh Town on Saint Mary's all have a welcoming and relaxed air to them. Sail to the Isles of Scilly from Falmouth with First Class Sailing, and you will experience a mild climate with diverse habitats, which make them a haven for various species of birds, marine life, and plants.

What's included

What's included

Food is included apart from 2 or 3 meals as we think you might like to sample the local fare ashore.

You should aim to join the boat in Falmouth at 7pm on the evening before the voyage starts. You can expect to be leaving the boat at midday on the last day.

As with all sailing holidays to the Isles of Scilly, there is a risk that the weather will mean the intended destination has to be changed. In the unlikely event that we can't get to the Isles of Scilly for your sailing holiday there is some wonderful cruising to be had along the Cornish and Devonshire coastline.

The Scillies are quite beautiful and what a way to visit them - by boat. Our skipper looked after us amazingly well and we had the right balance of sailing and exploring ashore.
