A guide to learning to sail from your office

Wouldn’t it be great if there were no barriers to setting sail, being able to enjoy the fresh sea air and having the freedom to go wherever you want, whenever you want? Unfortunately, life can get in the way of taking to the sea as regularly as we would like, and we’re not sure about you, but we’re often left gazing out of the office window wishing we were enjoying the rocking motion of being on a boat.

At First Class Sailing we understand these frustrations very well, and that’s why we do everything we can help you get up to speed and out on the water. We offer a range of practical courses designed to get you sailing yourself as quickly as possible (whilst enjoying time on a boat). And we also provide all-important theory courses, including; Day Skipper Theory, Yachtmaster Theory and Yachtmaster Ocean Theory.

The great thing about these courses being classroom based, is that we’re not restricted by the water – we can hold them anywhere on dry land. This means we have the flexibility to host them in convenient locations across London – including your very own office.

Sailing courses from the comfort of your offices

Our expert instructors regularly teach RYA navigation courses in medium to large organisations across London, the East Coast and South Coast. If you’re interested in getting involved, you’ll need the following:

  • To work for a medium to large organisation (500+ employees) or have a group of friends who are keen to do a navigation course too
  • Access to a meeting room or board room at your offices (best to check it’s available when you would like to do the courses, which are typically run over 1 evening a week for 8 weeks and 1 weekend)
  • The ability to distribute information about the course to your colleagues or friends (we’ll provide a flyer that will direct people straight to us, and we’ll answer any questions and take payments for the course)
  • An idea of dates and times you would like the course to take place

In return, you’ll be entitled to a heavily discounted (or potentially free) course, and the ability to pick and choose the dates and times the course is run – it’s win, win!
