Two Legs – One Epic Voyage

Our Norway Sailing Expeditions are serious offshore adventures aboard a Challenger 72 yacht – a 72-foot steel ocean-going vessel built for endurance and teamwork. The voyage is divided into two legs, and you can join either leg or the full round trip:

• Leg 1: Portsmouth → Norway – Sail across the North Sea and arrive among spectacular fjords.
• Leg 2: Norway → Portsmouth – Cruise through Norway’s fjords before setting sail homeward across open water.

Each leg offers a unique mix of offshore challenge and stunning scenery, with professional skippers and instructors guiding you every step of the way.

Leg 1 – Sailing from Portsmouth to Norway

Departing from Portsmouth, this leg is a true offshore passage. You’ll cross the North Sea, navigating one of the busiest stretches of water in the world while experiencing open-water sailing, watch systems, and night navigation. Landfall on the Norwegian coast is a memorable moment, followed by coastal cruising and anchoring among dramatic fjords.

Leg 2 – Exploring and Sailing Home

On the second leg, you’ll spend time exploring Norway’s fjords before setting sail back to the UK. This return leg provides varied conditions, from gentle cruising to open-sea sailing – perfect for building confidence and miles.

Hands-On Sailing and Learning
