Happy days

The cold front is about to reach us, behind us i can see broken clouds and
some blue sky here and there, it rained earlier and the wind has kept on
backing. However as we are sailing relatively fast in the same direction
as the front it is taking forever for it to overtake us, the front runners
who kept in a belt with more wind may be able to stay ahead of the front
for some time still and clock a tremendous amount of miles…

For us the game is different, we are too far back to play the same route
and we’ll be pushed to stay further north to avoid a high pressure that
would swallow us in a few days…

All good on board, this long reaching tack has been somewhat boring but
still, i cant say we are looking forward to the wet and windy fetching
conditions that await us over the next 2-3 days.

We have broken the 5000 miles barrier, we’re hoping to be in wellinton
the early days of january, we’ll miss both xmas and new year, not that i
have ever been a big fan of the celebrations but i’m sure i could do with
a few glasses of bubbly!!!

We are at nearly 60 degrees East, in continental terms we are just about
in the middle of Kasakstan, if that makes any sense at all.

I can see sunshine breaking through the clouds! The front will be over us
any moment i guess!!!!
