Financial Crisis, sail number 41, registered name “Mowgli” is for sale by owner.

Currently engaged in the Global Ocean Race the boat is viewable at
any of the remaining stopovers, Wellington, Punta del Este, Charleston or
Europe at the end of the race with an opportunity for the new owner for a
test sail or even joining one of the remaining legs of the race as
co-skipper.

I have invested all my funds in putting together this campaign, but
unfortunately I am struggling to see the race through having been unable
to raise any further sponsorship since leaving Palma. I am committed to
getting to the finish line of the GOR, one way or another, but I will need
to sell the boat very quickly at the end of the race to restore some level
of normality to my personal finances and repay debts incurred, so I am
starting to put the word out now inviting interested parties to come
forward.

The boat is clearly race ready and she will be maintained to top standards
throughout the race, save of course for unavoidable wear and tear which
can be accounted for in the sale price.

This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a boat as well as all the
work that went into preparing it for serious offshore sailing. The boat
comes with a very large inventory of spares currently being shipped to
each stopover of the GOR in the race container and would be the ideal
choice for anyone wishing to race in the Global Ocean Race on a budget.
You could be planning your 2013 campaign right now, and all you’ll be left
to think about is some sails and other consumable items!
