The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) 2026 is one of the most iconic events in global sailing — a spectacular transatlantic rally that attracts over 200 yachts and sailors from all over the world.
In 2026, First Class Sailing is thrilled to return to the ARC as part of its Adventures Programme. The rally runs from Gran Canaria to St Lucia, offering sailors the chance to cross the Atlantic in a fun, safe, and organised way.
While it’s technically a race, the ARC is all about camaraderie and shared adventure. Crews bond over night watches, trade-wind sailing, and the incredible experience of completing an ocean crossing together. And once you arrive in the Caribbean? There’s the option to extend your voyage and explore even more tropical paradise under sail.

What Is the ARC?
The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) is a transatlantic sailing rally organised by the World Cruising Club. It covers roughly 2,700 nautical miles from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay, St Lucia, timed perfectly to take advantage of the trade winds.
This event has become a true bucket list experience for sailors — offering a mix of challenge, adventure, and unforgettable ocean sailing in the best possible conditions.

The Yacht: Challenger 72 – Proven, Powerful, and Purpose-Built
For the ARC 2026, First Class Sailing continues its proud tradition of using the Challenger 72 yacht, a 22-metre ocean-going vessel built from steel and designed for endurance, safety, and comfort.
With a 95-foot mast, a spacious saloon and galley, and a track record of successful ocean passages, the Challenger 72 is a trusted platform for anyone looking to experience the Atlantic in confidence.
Depending on wind strength, crews can expect to complete the crossing in 14 to 21 days — plenty of time to learn, grow, and experience true bluewater sailing.
