The aim of our Solent skippered yacht charters is to ensure you have a fantastic sailing holiday. The skipper will take complete responsibility of the yacht and for your safety, which just takes any stress out of the holiday for you.

When you book a skippered yacht charter from the Solent, we can tailor the trip to suit your wishes and if you would like some instruction, the skipper can give as much or as little as you like.
Our yachts are based in Shamrock Quay, Southampton on the South Coast. Sailing from Shamrock Quay you will very quickly be in the Solent which is a great place to sail. Over a weekend skippered charter, you can leave Southampton and visit harbours such as Yarmouth, Cowes or Bembridge on the IOW, or Beaulieu, Hamble, Portsmouth, Poole and even Chichester.
Each place has its own charm and there's always a restaurant or pint at the end of the day.
Hop Across to France
If you have more time available, then you may fancy going further afield with a skippered yacht charter. Poole, Weymouth, and the West Country beyond all beckon, as do France and the Channel Islands.
Bareboat Yacht Charter
Enjoy the yachting atmosphere of the Solent, the hub of UK sailing with a First Classing Sailing bareboat charter. Charter one of our yachts, turn up and once we have settled you in you are free to cast off for local harbours such as vibrant Cowes or the peaceful Bucklers Hard at Beaulieu. If you have more time on your bareboat sailing charter, then why not cast your net further afield and cruise over to France, the Channel Islands or the West Country?
Our Solent bareboat charter yachts are maintained by a professional team, and everything is kept in tip top condition. With heating and the latest electronic navigation aids such as radar and electronic charts with 3D capability our bareboat charters yachts really do offer a luxurious break for you.
Our yachts are valuable so we do need to ensure that charterers have adequate skills and experience for the size of yacht requested.

The Solent - No Finer Place to Charter a Yacht

And, there is also no finer place to take a yacht hire than in the Solent, with it’s many harbours, estuaries, anchorages, marinas and historic ports, the possibilities for a week or a weekend yacht hire are endless.
First Class Sailing’s Yacht Hire operation is conveniently based in Shamrock Quay in Southampton. The marina has great facilities for you to start your Solent yacht hire with. A pub, a breakfast café, a restaurant and excellent showers. There is also plenty of parking which is secure.
From Shamrock Quay you can cast off and be in the Hamble River for lunch or Cowes, the capital of yachting, for a late lunch. You then have a number of options to carry on sailing to for the evening. In fact you can spend a whole 5 days in the Solent without visiting the same place twice, stopping twice or only once a day.
