First Class Sailing is a RYA Recognised Sailing School. Established in London in 2000 First Class Sailing delivers the full spectrum of RYA yachting courses. Practical on the water courses take place from our bases in Shamrock Quay, Southampton on the South Coast. Our shore-based courses are mostly carried out in London and Southampton.
RYA Recognised Training Centre (RTC)
Being an RYA Recognised Sailing School or Training Centre (RTC) means we guide students through courses using standard RYA syllabi and RYA qualified instructors.
Since the year 2000 we have thousands of people on Sailing Courses within the RYA Cruising Scheme.
Our boats are checked by the RYA as being seaworthy, safe, well maintained and suitable for the courses. We are inspected regularly to ensure we are maintaining the high standards of the RYA and those of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
Taking an RYA course means you are part of a scheme that is known and respected worldwide.
Navigation Classes In Your Office
In London we specialise in going into Companies and teaching RYA Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Shorebased evening courses. A large number of organisations ask us back to teach courses 2,3,4 and sometimes even 5 times a year. For some firms we have run over 40 courses. We are constantly starting courses at new venues as well.
