Next Steps
Sailing
If sailing is your main interest this Day Skipper Shorebased theory course should be followed by a 5-day Day Skipper Practical Sailing Course. On successful completion of the practical course you will be awarded a Day Skipper Practical Certificate which is the qualification that most charter companies require you to have in order to charter one of their yachts.
If you’ve done little or no sailing you will need to take the Competent Crew practical course before the Day Skipper practical course. You can take the Competent Crew course before, during or after the theory course.
Motor Boating
If motor boating is your main interest the Day Skipper Shorebased course should be followed by a four day Day Skipper Practical Motor course
