RYA Theory courses are suitable for anyone who goes to sea. In short they give you the skills you need to get safely from A to B. They are equally relevant for sailors and motor boaters and can be tailored to your experience and aspirations, whilst still following the syllabus.

This could be at your office in London, at other different locations up and down the country, or at our own study centre in the capital.

A shorebased RYA Navigation Theory Course typically lasts for seven or eight weeks (one evening a week) plus a weekend. We also hold them over two and a half weekends.
