Learn MoreThe benefits of taking RYA sailing courses
Taking an RYA sailing course will completely transform your time on the water. RYA Courses are internationally recognised qualifications that build confidence and practical skills which will stick with you for life. From your first day learning the ropes to advanced ocean navigation, this hands-on training puts you in real situations with our expert instructors.
What makes our RYA courses so special is how they blend adventure with serious learning. You'll tackle everything from basic sail trim to man-overboard rescues in challenging conditions. The skills build logically as each course takes you further, from coastal day-sailing to multi-day offshore passages and night-time navigation.
Having an RYA certificate can open doors and opportunities. For example, yacht charter companies around the world recognise the RYA, meaning you can use your RYA qualification to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean when on a sailing holiday. Some who have learned with us, have gone on to forge professional careers, and some have even become instructors themselves.
The community aspect of shouldn't be overlooked either. The yachting community is full of friendly people always willing to share knowledge and help each other out.
For many, completing their first RYA course is just the beginning of a life-long journey.
