Sail a section of the British Coast line. Great for getting tidal experience and building miles towards Yachtmaster.
In April, May and June we will be sailing a boat around Britain. There are 5 legs available for those keen to build miles and get some great experience.
Each leg has been allocated 6 days and the distances of each leg vary, the shortest being 175nm and the longest being around 390nm. Starting in Southampton we will head east to Ipswich, then up the North Sea to Edinburgh. The next passage is from Edinburgh to Inverness. After that there will be one big leg from Largs on the West Coast of Scotland to Falmouth in Cornwall, then Falmouth along the South Coast back to the Solent.
The yacht is a Barberis Show 42. A very seaworthy boat, comfy and quick too. A cruiser racer.
There will likely be a fair amount of night sailing on each trip so you need to be able to stand a watch at night. That said the skipper, an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, will always be on hand.
These trips are aimed at Coastal Skippers or above and those needing to build tidal miles for Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachmaster Offshore. We would consider Day Skippers depending on previous experience.
The yacht is a Barberis Show 42.
She has a grey hull and teak decks.
Down below there is a double cabin or 2 single berths in the saloon available. There are 2 heads.
If you would like to book as a couple then a double cabin can be made available for you. Call us to discuss.
