It was\u00a0totally gripping.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstclasssailing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/solo-yacht.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-384\" title=\"Solo Yacht - Learning to sail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.firstclasssailing.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/solo-yacht.jpg\" alt=\"Learning to sail\" width=\"125\" height=\"196\" \/><\/a>Besides watching the Olympics, during the summer we ran a competition based on the\u00a0games. Those taking part had to answer three questions and then their names went into\u00a0a hat. The name pulled out of the hat on the closing date of the completion won a <strong>free\u00a0sailing course<\/strong> from the team here at First Class Sailing. Many people answered correctly.\u00a0However, if you were wondering if you had answered correctly the answers are listed\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Where was the Olympic Sailing 2012 being held?<\/strong><br \/>\nAnswer was Portland or Weymouth<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. How many Gold medals has Ben Ainslie won to date?<\/strong><br \/>\nAnswer was 3 until 5th August 2012, when he won his 4th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Where are the 2016 Olympic Games being held?<\/strong><br \/>\nAnswer Rio, Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>Pulled out of the hat on 30th August 2012 the winner was \u2026<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: 24px;\"><strong>Louise Milner<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Louise was delighted to win and is looking forward to joining First Class Sailing for her\u00a0sailing course soon.<\/p>\n<p>The next big event is the Vendee Globe starting on 10th November 2012 from Les Sables\u00a0d\u2019Olonne in France. This is a single handed race around the world and happens every\u00a0four years. It is more about getting around the course in one piece than anything else. In\u00a02008 30 boats started the Race but only 11 crossed the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to experience the thrills of racing for yourself, we still have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstclasssailing.com\/Fastnet-Race-2013.html\">spaces available for the Fastnet Race in August 2013<\/a>.
