Get a Bank Holiday Sailing Bonus<\/a> Around The Solent<\/p>\n

Make the most of your Bank Holiday weekends by combining it with a sailing course. You’ll have great fun while learning valuable new skills on your way to becoming a much better sailor.<\/p>\n

Held over two consecutive weekends, it is the second weekend that takes advantage of the third ‘bonus’ day, allowing you to gain a heap of experience whilst avoiding using up one of your precious days off work.<\/p>\n

There are two official RYA practical courses running from Southampton this year: RYA Competent Crew<\/a> and RYA Day Skipper<\/a>. Both use the May Bank Holidays (7th or 28th May) to your benefit.<\/p>\n

RYA Competent Crew Practical Course<\/h2>\n

Sailing from Southampton, you\u2019ll stay at a different marina, anchorage or harbour each night and it is ideal if you have done little or no sailing before.<\/p>\n

Once completed you will become a very useful crew member and an asset to anyone you go sailing with. You\u2019ll be sleeping and eating on board (apart from perhaps the odd evening meal out in a pub or restaurant if you choose!) you will learn lots about sailing, life on board and how fun it is.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve completed your RYA Competent Crew course then you\u2019ll know that this is the final step before you can charter your own yacht in the Mediterranean and have a classic summer holiday.<\/p>\n

This is a great course for rounding off your skills and gives you the confidence for skippering and taking the helm.<\/p>\n
