A taste of what’s to come…

Norway Sailing Adventure Cruise Begins

The crew assembled yesterday for the first of three Norway Adventure Sailing Cruises. Sailing on a 72ft Challenger yacht, extremely suitable to this kind of a voyage, the boat cast off from Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth yesterday. It should take them 5 or 6 days to sail up the North Sea with a first port of call likely to be Stavanger. They will pass oil and gas platforms, wind farms, lots of other ships including interesting rig supply vessels. The night’s will get shorter the further north they go with only a couple of hours of semi darkness by the time they reach Norway. We are looking forward to hearing about there trip, hopefully on a daily basis, and will post anything we get back from the boat here.

The following are some thoughts from crew member Laurence!

“Our Norway Sailing Adventure Cruise is off to a good start – it feels like we’ve been on the boat for much longer than just a day! It seems like everyone is getting the hang of the watch system, and everyone is getting along well and enjoying themselves. Cause we are a larger boat, which meant we had to motor through it. Last night and this morning were very foggy and quite cold, but luckily it’s starting to clear up, and we’re almost out of the TSS, so things should start to get a bit more exciting! Hoping for some more wind tonight!” Laurence.

If you would like to come sailing with us either in Norway or back from Norway then we have two trips to choose from in June. Still spaces available. Have a look here for more details.

Norway Sailing Adventure Cruise Begins The crew assembled yesterday for the first of three Norway Adventure Sailing Cruises.
