Coastal Pump Out Stations (UK)

As part of our survey about holding tanks, and if they should be made compulsory in UK waters, we’ve come across the locations of all the coast pump out stations.

This information was originally gathered by The Green Blue who have also collated the details of all inland stations. They too have been campaigning on this subject since 2009 and you’ll find more excellent resources here: www.thegreenblue.org.uk/leaflets

When it comes to holding tanks the current practice in UK waters is down to the individual sailor, the question we are asking stems from the premise that sailors benefit greatly from the earth’s resources, wind and sea, so should they take more care with disposing of their waste?

If you start using a holding tank in UK waters, this handy map will help guide you to the closest pump out station.
