Day Skipper Practical Course

This is a course for aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills.

You need to have already done a Competent Crew Course or be at Competent Crew level and you need to have completed the Shorebased Day Skipper course or have navigational knowledge to that level before taking this course.

With the helpful instruction and guidance of our instructor you will learn how to skipper a yacht and all that that entails.

The course can be taken over 5 consecutive days or over 2 consecutive weekends (a short and a long).

Although we strongly recommend a Monday to Friday or 2 consecutive weekend course for continuity of instruction, we do recognise that it is not possible for everyone. If you click here you can view another option.

Accommodation and food are on board. You can come and do the course by yourself or with friends. If your friends/partner wants to do the Competent Crew course they can do it on the same boat as yourself.
